Narcissus Daffodil Flower Bulbs

 

N(caps)arcissus is the name of a genus which includes flower bulbs like Daffodils, Jonquils and paperwhites. The plants are native to Europe, North Africa, and Asia. They are among the most popular spring-flowering bulbs and are known for their large, brightly colored flowers. Narcissus flowers come in a variety of colors, including yellow, white, orange, and pink. There are about 13,000 varieties of narcissi and over 50 different species. All they come from the Amaryllidaceae family. Narcissus and Daffodils are the same. Dutch Master Daffodil 

The very large, very showy, all-yellow blossoms of 'Dutch Master' have set Trumpet Daffodil standards for well over a century. No other variety can match it for sheer size, elegant form, and glowing color. Flowers up to 5 in. across on top of sturdy, 18- to 20-in. stems. 

Narcissus can be left in the ground after blooming to multiply over the years. If you wish to subdivide bulbs after 2 or 3 years of blooming, harvest them immediately after the foliage has died down. Divide and store in a well-ventilated, cool, dry place; then replant in the fall.
