🌴 Have you ever tried growing a palm tree from a tiny seed? 🌱
In this video, we're starting an exciting journey from seed to palm tree with Step 1: Germination! 🌱➡️🌴
Palm seeds can be slow to germinate, and depending on the species, it may take several weeks or even many months. But with the right conditions and a little patience, you can give your seeds a great start. 💚
💧 First, soak the seeds:
We soak the palm seeds for up to two weeks to help soften the seed coat. Remember to change the water every couple of days and use fresh water.
🪴 Next, prepare the container:
Use a plastic container with a lid and fill it halfway with premoistened small wood chips or another suitable growing medium.
🌱 Rinse the seeds with fresh water, place them individually over the growing medium, and gently press them into the material so they're covered.
💦 Then use a spray bottle to add moisture and close the lid. The covered container creates a small greenhouse-like environment that helps maintain humidity.
☀️ Place the container somewhere warm and suitable for germination — and then comes the hardest part...
